“It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?”
Pooh’s got a point…so let’s get right to it. Last month truffles took over and August is much the same. We are making the most of a great Australian truffle season:
QANTAS EPIQURE TRUFFLE THEMED DEGUSTATION EVENT
Qantas Epiqure have asked their smoothest buttermaker to host their upcoming truffle themed events in both Melbourne and Sydney. Australian truffles will be showcased in sumptuous four-course degustation menus + matching wines. Are you a member of Qantas epiQure? If not maybe you should be, you’d get to see more of Pepe and eat more Pepe Saya butter that way.

MEET PEPE AT THE SYDNEY ITALIAN FOOD + WINE FESTIVAL
The Pepe Saya Butter Crew will be shmearing the love alongside a bunch of other local artisan producers at the Sydney Italian Food + Wine Festival on Sunday, 30 August at Town Hall. Pop in and say hi.
CRUISING IN THE AUDI Q5
We want to send some love to Audi Centre Sydney for pimpin’ Pepe’s ride. Pepe has been cruising around to super swanky business lunches and the weekly Pepe Saya Truffle Hunts in a bangin' Audi Q5. Soooo the next question is…Audi, can we keep the car? We'll pay you in butter.
PEPE SAYA BUTTER TASTING NOTES
Not many of Pepe's customers report his delicious butter lasting long in their fridge BUT occasionally someone does a clean out and discovers a two-month-old wheel of Pepe Saya Cultured Butter. Hooray we say! That's awesome, now you get to try the butter once it has matured.
Pepe Saya butter is a fermented product, meaning that it continues to ripen, the flavours deepening, the longer it is around. Pepe Saya Butter taken home and eaten directly will have that creamy tang we all know and love, wait a month and it will have a more potent flavour, and after two months that creamy taste of real dairy is even more obvious.
Mrs Pepe uses super ripe Pepe Saya Butter in dishes where the butter is a real player, like sautéed with an assortment of mushrooms. I like to add a generous dollop to a baked spud and some people love how the richer flavour enhances their buttery baked goods.
